I’m Kelli Shaw. Blokwerk Computer Repair is a one-person, mobile repair service covering Springfield and the surrounding area. There is no storefront and no counter — I come to your home or your office, work on the machine where it sits, and in most cases finish the same day you call.
That is not a gimmick, it is the whole cost structure. A shop has rent, a front desk and a queue, which is why your computer sits on a shelf for a week. I carry none of that, so the job that would wait until next Tuesday usually gets done this afternoon.
The business is new. The experience is not. I have been fixing computers since middle school — more than twenty years of it, mostly for friends, family and word of mouth alongside other work. Going out on my own is the recent part. Knowing what I am looking at when I open the lid is not.

- I find out what is actually wrong first, then tell you what it costs. The number is based on the fault, not on a guess made over the phone.
- You approve the price
- Nothing gets done that you have not said yes to. No bundled extras, no software you did not ask for, no charges that appear at the end.
- Plain language, always
- Nobody should be made to feel stupid about their own computer. I explain what I am doing in words that mean something, at whatever pace suits you.
- I say when it is not worth it
- If a repair costs more than the machine is worth, I will tell you that rather than take the job. Sometimes the honest answer is to spend the money elsewhere.
